Autopilots and A.I.S

The TMQ AP46 Auto Pilot is a compact unit with the basic features to make it the ideal small boat pilot or as an entry-level pilot.

Specifically designed for boats in the 6m to 12m range, the AP46 , with its ease of operation, simple installation, yet no compromise design concept for performance and reliability, is the ideal pilot for the recreational mariner.

The head unit has a modern ergometric design featuring a large backlit LCD display.

Features: Our most popular autopilot; the front panel features large control knobs for ease of use in all sea conditions.
The Autopilot can be interegated to GPS to give waypoint steering. Components: Control Unit; Compass Sensor & Rudder Feedback Display: Red LED Voltage: 12 to 24 VDC 1 Amp Nav Signal: NMEA 0183 Dimensions: 173mm x 73mm x 210mm Option: Hand remote; AP55 display and RAI

AP55 Autopilot Control Unit

The AP55 control unit is an advanced state of the art autopilot offering exceptional accuracy and reliability.

The AP55 can be integrated into the vessel's navigational system to provide a fully automated package to meet your current and future boating needs.

The S1 Wheel Pilot is the successor to the popular ST4000 Plus Wheel drive system. The new S1 system uses the versatile ST6002 control head combined with the S1 SmartPilot course computer for maximum performance. Permanently installed and fully enclosed, this is a drive system that delivers the convenience and performance of an inboard autopilot. Gone are the obstructive and untidy belts and wires of conventional wheel autopilots.

Invented by Autohelm in 1973, tiller pilots have consistently been the world’s most popular pilot ever since, setting the standard for performance, reliability and ease of use. Advanced features are standard. AutoTack lets you handle the sheets, while the pilot tacks the boat and AutoSeastate intelligently keeps the boat on course while conserving power. Whether used as a stand-alone pilot or with a SeaTalk/NMEA GPS, the clear backlit LCD and 6-button keypad make these pilots safe and easy to use.

CM80i Intelligence
- Without Rudder Feedback!

The CM80i breaks new ground in intelligent autopilots. The new features of this system makes it both easier to install and very easy to use. The intelligence built into the system means that there is no need for a rudder transducer and the system adjusts itself to suit the boat speed and sea state. The CM80i's compact design fits easily into almost any small boat dash and closely matches engine instruments.

Installation can be completed easily and once installed, requires a simple, once only set up procedure which takes less than a minute. The CM80i's main components are:

The CM85i autopilot offers simple one-touch control, intelligent, self-tuning software and rate gyro compass. It is the perfect autopilot solution for both power and sailing vessels from 6m - 40m.

The rate gyro compass maximises autopilot performance and minimises the effects of acceleration, roll and pitch. The combination of these two features means that the autopilot is able to steer a more accurate course with less rudder movement resulting in lower power consumption and less wear and tear on the vessel's steering system.

AIS Systems

The Automatic Identification System (AIS) is a system used by ships and Vessel Traffic Services principally for identification and locating vessels. AIS helps to resolve the difficulty of identifying ships when not in sight (e.g. in fog, at distance, etc.) by providing a means for ships to exchange identification, position, course, speed, and other ship data with all other nearby ships and VTS stations. It works by integrating a standardized VHF transceiver system with an electronic navigation system, such as a LORAN-C or Global Positioning System receiver, and other navigational sensors on board ship (gyrocompass, rate of turn indicator, etc.)

The International Maritime Organization's (IMO) International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) requires AIS to be fitted aboard international voyaging ships of 300 or more gross tonnage, and all passenger ships regardless of size
